About Central Midlands Hazard Mitigation Plan
The four counties comprising the Central Midlands Region of South Carolina is threatened by a number of different types of natural hazards. These hazards endanger the health and safety of the population of the county, jeopardize its economic vitality, and imperil the quality of its environment. Because of the importance of avoiding or minimizing the vulnerabilities to these hazards, the public and private sector interests with the Central Midlands Region have joined together to create a CPT to undertake a comprehensive planning process that has culminated in the publication of this document: “An All Natural Hazard Risk Assessment and Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Central Midlands Region of South Carolina.”
